To add a project, either go to your project list and click on + New or use the quick actions on the menu bar from any view.
Give the project a name and choose the client linked to this project.
Set a start date and deadline. To make reporting, project progress, and overall, the project management accurate, also add an estimated duration to your project.
Select the project manager, status, budget, but also project members and access rights (e.g. for project members only).
If the project is accessible for members only, the project members are the only ones who can see the project information. Otherwise, all users have access to this project, if they have been given permission (by the administrator) to view other users’ projects. Users who do not have viewing rights, can't see the project info either way.
It's also possible to add phases and milestones to your project at this stage, but you can also effortlessly do it later in the project detailed view on the Gantt chart.
When adding a new project, you can save it as a template for similar future projects.
Personal project
If you wish to manage personal information and keep it private, it's possible to create personal projects in Scoro. These are strictly personal, and work-related projects should not be marked as Personal.
Note! If your site does not allow creating personal projects, change the settings of your site under Settings > Work and projects > Projects and activate the setting Use personal projects, or turn to your site administrator.
If you wish to create a personal event in the calendar or add a personal task, simply mark it as Personal or link it to your personal project.
Note! Personal activities are not work-related and will not be counted as such in reporting. Other users and administrators only see the status of these activities and a title Personal. You can see your own personal events in the work report using the Event/task type filter.
TIP! We also recommend using a project called Vacation to keep track of your team members' vacations. Read more about managing vacations.
Project budget
Project budgeting is available starting from the Pro plan.
You have three options for creating a budget for your project:
- Quoted amounts lets you compare actual income and cost to the quoted amounts and cost.
- Simple budget allows you to type in your own budget manually. Compare actual income and cost to the budget you set.
- Detailed budget enables you to create a detailed budget under Budgets and link it to the project. Note! Detailed budget is available only with the Ultimate plan, since it requires the Budgets module.

Modifying and deleting projects
To modify the project, click on the project number or briefcase icon in the project list.
Or click the modify button in the project detailed view.
You can delete the project in the modify view. Both Modify and Delete buttons are only visible, if you have the relevant permissions.
Tags
Projects can have tags that make filtering and reporting easier.
You can create, modify, and delete project tags under Settings > Site settings > Tags and relations.
