You can add the shareable QuickBooks invoice link into your Scoro PDF or email templates to streamline payment collection. Customers who use QuickBooks can then conveniently proceed with the payment directly from that link, speeding up the invoice payment process.
To include the online invoice link in your Scoro invoice documents or emails, follow the steps below.
Enable the setting
- Open QuickBooks integration under Settings > Site settings > Integrations.
- Enable the following option(s):
- Add QuickBooks invoice link to Scoro – mandatory to be able to add the invoice link to your PDF and email templates
- Allow online payments in QuickBooks –recommended to ensure that invoices created in Scoro can be paid online in QuickBooks
Once the invoice link setting in enabled, you add the invoice link to:
Option 1: add to e-mail template
1. Add the QuickBooks invoice link placeholder into the email template that you use for sending out invoices to your customers:
- Open Settings > My settings > E-mail.
- Navigate to the Invoice e-mail template.
- Copy and paste one of the following variables to the exact desired spot in the email template where you would like the hyperlink or URL to appear:

[a][if]quickbooks_invoice_link[/if][/a] - invoice link will be displayed as a hyperlink with a predefined name 'Open the invoice online'

[a][if]quickbooks_invoice_url[/if][/a] - invoice link will be displayed as a full URL

- Save the changes.
2. Now create your invoice in Scoro.
3. Generate the invoice link by syncing your invoice with QuickBooks.
NB! The shareable invoice link will come from QuickBooks. It will appear in the email only if the invoice is synced with QuickBooks and the setting Add QuickBooks invoice link to Scoro is enabled.
You can check if your invoice has been successfully synced with QuickBooks from:
- the invoice list view by filtering out synced invoices

directly from the invoice detailed view by using the actions button
Once the invoice has been synced, you can see the invoice link already in the email preview when you start sending out the invoice.
And this is what both versions of the invoice links will look like in the email that reaches your customer.
Option 2: add to PDF template
1. Add the QuickBooks invoice link placeholder into the Scoro PDF template that you use for invoicing your customers:

Open Settings > Site settings > PDF templates.

Choose the template you'd like to modify with the invoice link and open it in the Modify view by clicking on the PDF icon in front of the template name.

Choose where you would like to place the invoice link on your template.

Copy and paste the variable [a][if]quickbooks_invoice_link[/if][/a] to the exact spot on the PDF where you would like the invoice link to appear.

Save the changes.
2. Now create your invoice in Scoro.
3. Generate the invoice link by syncing your invoice with QuickBooks.
NB! The shareable invoice link will come from QuickBooks. It will appear on the PDF only if the invoice is synced with QuickBooks and the setting Add QuickBooks invoice link to Scoro is enabled. See above how to check if your invoice has been successfully synced with QuickBooks.
