Instead of manually adding different information to Scoro, you can save valuable time and use automation whenever possible.
When turning a quote confirmed by the customer into a project, Scoro automatically creates project phases and milestones based on the quote subheadings. You can then easily create tasks from the quoted services – each task finds its way under the correct phase.
Let's look at how this works step by step!
- First, add a new quote (or open an existing one). Add services/products and subheadings where needed. You can drag and drop the quote lines under the relevant subheadings as needed. Name the quote subheadings as you wish your project phases to be named.
- Once you've set up the subheadings and other details as needed, save the quote.
- Then click the Create project button and enter all the relevant project details. Phases can be added and modified after the project is created. Save your project.
- After saving your project, the project detailed view will open. Click the three-dot icon next to the Add task button and select Modify phases. Your quote subheadings will appear – you can specify the start and end dates for your phases, add more phases and milestones, and then save the changes.
- Then, you can turn the services under each project phase into tasks for your team. Click the Create tasks from quote button to create them right in the project view. Alternatively, you can go click the Create tasks button on your quote. After creating the tasks, Scoro will link them to the relevant project phases. All you have to do is simply assign the tasks to your team.
