Instead of manually adding different information to Scoro, you can save valuable time and use automation whenever possible. When turning a quote confirmed by the customer into a project, Scoro now automatically creates project phases and milestones based on the quote subheadings. You can then easily create tasks from the quoted services – each task finds its way under the correct phase.
How does it work? Let's look at the process step by step.
First, add a new quote (or open an existing one). Add services/products and subheadings where needed. Just rearrange services on the quote under the relevant subheadings using drag and drop. Name the quote subheadings as you wish your project phases to be named.
If all relevant data is as it should be, save the quote. Then click on the button Use data on quote to ... and select the option Create project.
Now, a new project is created with the subheadings from the initial quote added as phases under it.
Add a name to the project and fill in the rest of the project-related data. Add a start and end date for each phase (or a date for a milestone), and additional task bundles or phases and milestones. Read more about phases and milestones. Save the project.
The next step is to turn the services under each project phase into tasks for your team. Once the project is saved, the system will allow you to create the tasks from the quote right in the project view.
If you skip this step at that moment, you can always go back to the quote and click the Create tasks button.
Just like that, Scoro turns the quoted services into tasks and links them to the relevant project phase, all you have to do is simply assign the tasks to your team.
