2. Adding a task from an email
If you want to convert the email you’ve opened to a task on your Scoro site:
- Click the Add task button in the add-on.
- Fill out the task details - enter the task title, select an activity type, project, and deadline, and enter the task description.
- The Project dropdown field shows all projects in your default project list view in Scoro. If the project you want to link the task to is not available as a section, make sure it appears in your default project list view in Scoro first.

3. Linking a task to an email
If you already have a task in Scoro and want to link it to your email:
- Click the Link to task button.
- Search for the task you want to link to your email and click the Search task button.
- Select the correct task to link to your email.
4. Managing the task via the add-on
Once there’s a task linked to the email, you can reap the full benefits of the add-on by managing key aspects of your task, such as adding a time entry, marking the task as done, and more.
Note! If you’ve made some changes to your task, but they don’t appear in the add-on right away, refresh the add-on view by clicking the three-dot icon and selecting Refresh.
4.1. Navigating to task detailed and modify views in Scoro
To open the task detailed view in Scoro, click the eye icon.
To open the task modify view in Scoro, click the pencil icon. This shortcut is handy when you need to modify the time entries and comments you’ve added via the add-on or anything else on the task.
4.2. Adding a time entry
Once you’ve done some work related to the email you’re viewing, you can add a time entry from the add-on:
- Click the timer icon.
- Enter the name (this is optional) for your time entry and set its duration.
- Click Create time log.
Once added, it will appear under the Time entries section on your task in Scoro.
Time entries can be modified only in Scoro. Any changes made to the time entries and all new time entries will automatically sync from Scoro to the add-on.
4.3. Marking the task as done
Once you've completed all the work required on the task, you can click the checkmark icon in the add-on to quickly mark it as done.
Once marked, you can still navigate to the task in Scoro from the add-on, leave comments, and add time entries retrospectively.
If you need to un-mark it, go to the task modify view and untick the Done checkbox. Refresh the add-on view, and the task will be active again.
4.4. Adding a comment
You can document your progress on the task as you’re working on the email by adding comments to the task via the add-on. Simply click the comment icon, enter your comment, and click Add comment.
