On December 3, 2025, we released Scoro app version 2.0 for our Zapier integration, bringing significant performance improvements and making your Zaps run so much faster. 🚀
This version includes breaking changes in how PDF file links are generated, which require you to update all your Zaps that use the Scoro app.
This article will walk you through what has changed in the Scoro app version 2.0 and how to update your Zaps.

1. Why was the Scoro app version for our Zapier integration updated?
In the previous Zapier integration version 1.7.12, the PDF file links were automatically generated on every Zap with either of the following triggers:
- New or Updated Invoice
- New or Updated Quote
- New or Updated Order
- New or Updated Purchase Order
However, not all Zaps required these PDF file links. This is why in version 2.0, we’ve made PDF file link generation an optional, separate step you can add to a Zap. This change helps:
- generate PDFs only when you actually need them
- execute triggers 5-10x faster
- reduce API load on your Scoro account
2. Will Zaps using the old Scoro app version still work?
All your existing Zaps using version 1.7.12 will continue to work until June 17th, 2026, which is the date when we’ll deprecate this version.
After this date, Zaps using the outdated Scoro app version will stop working. To prevent this, need to update all your Zaps that use the Scoro app.
3. How to update Zaps that use Scoro?
To ensure that your Zaps will continue to work as designed after the old Scoro app version is deprecated, you must update all your Zaps that use Scoro by June 17th, 2026, making the following changes:
- Change the Scoro app version to 2.0 for the trigger event and all actions that involve the Scoro app. This needs to be done for each Zap one by one, as there is no bulk option.
- (optional) Add a new step “Generate PDF File Link” to the Zap if the PDF file link needs to be generated.
Let’s go through both steps in detail!
Step 1: Change the Scoro app version for trigger and action events
- Go to the Assets tab in Zapier and use the App filter to quickly filter out all your Zaps that use the Scoro app. Click on the Zap name to open the editor.
- Trigger and step events that use the older Scoro app will have an exclamation mark icon next to them. Click on the affected step to open the right sidebar.
- On the right sidebar, click the Change button on the App field and select the latest Scoro app version 2.0.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to update the Scoro app version for all the events using the outdated version. Make sure to test your trigger or action step to ensure it works as expected.
If the PDF file link is not necessary in this Zap, that’s it! ✅ Simply repeat the above process to update the Scoro app version in all the affected Zaps.
If the PDF file link generation is needed on this Zap, follow the Step 2 instructions.

Step 2 (optional): Add a step for generating the PDF file link
Note! This step applies only to Zaps with any of the following trigger events:
- New or Updated Invoice
- New or Updated Quote
- New or Updated Order
- New or Updated Purchase Order
If the Zap you’re editing should generate a PDF file link, you’ll need to add this action as a new step – here's how you can do it:
- In Zapier's Zap editor, click the plus icon to add a new step.
- Select the Scoro app from the list. Make sure to select the one without any version numbers or ‘Legacy’ tags to ensure you’re using the latest app version.
- In the Action event field, select the Generate PDF File Link action.
- Open the Configure tab to configure the step:
- Document ID – use the document ID from the previous step.
- Document type – select the type of financial document to generate the PDF file link for.
Make sure to test your trigger or action step to ensure it works as expected.
