When you first created your trial site, we automatically configured it with the essential modules and features most relevant to your business and workflows. However, because Scoro is a highly customizable platform, there are many other capabilities and modules you can enable as you explore the system further!
This article briefly explains what determines the availability of modules and features on your site, and provides an overview of the core options you can activate to tailor Scoro to your team's specific needs.

1. What determines module and feature availability?
If a specific feature or module listed above isn't immediately visible or usable on your trial site, it is almost always controlled by one of three distinct administrative settings:
1.1. Permission sets
Permission sets, manageable under Settings → Administration → Permission sets, govern what each user can see and do in Scoro. They control top-level user access to specific modules, as well as more granular, module-specific visibility and action rights.
Recommendation for site administrators: We recommend first enabling the relevant module permission within your own permission set to test out the new capability yourself. Once you’re ready to roll it out to your team, you can enable that module permission and manage other module-specific permissions for other permission sets and roles as needed.
Learn more about permission and access right management in the Permission sets article.
1.2. Site menu settings
Your site menu displays the active modules you have access to. Since the width of your site menu is limited, you can customize your menu layout under Menu settings to prioritize your most-used tools. These adjustments are user-specific – any customizations you make will affect only your own menu, so everyone on your team can organize their workspace to fit their unique workflows.
Learn more about menu settings in our Menu customization article.
1.3. Site-wide settings
The Settings panel in Scoro is for customizing your site-wide settings. It is divided into five sections:
- The My settings section includes options to configure your personal preferences.
- The Site settings section lets you change your company data, contact base, PDF templates, enable Integrations, etc.
- The Work and projects section includes settings for work-related features (activity types, working times, calendars, task settings, etc.).
- The Sales and finance section includes settings related to sales and other financial matters.
- The Administration section includes all administrative settings (permissions, general user settings, etc.) and is available only to site administrators.
Check the Site settings section in our Help Center for more detailed guides on specific settings.
Here's a general rule you can follow: if a feature exists in Scoro but you cannot find it on your site, there is almost always either a permission or a setting you have to enable to access it.
