You can export data from the relevant Scoro list views, such as projects, quotes, tasks, and more.
This article will walk you through managing data export permissions and exporting data from various views and reports in Scoro.

1. Managing data export permissions
Only users with the specific data export permissions in their permission set can import data to Scoro:
- Import/Export - allows users to import and export data from Scoro
- Export data - allows users to export data from Scoro, but not import
Site administrators can grant the import permission this way:
- Go to Settings > Administration > Permission sets
- Choose the permission set you want to update and open the Modules and actions
- Tick the Import/Export or Export data checkbox depending on which permission you want to grant for the permission set.
2. Exporting data from Scoro
To export the data:
- Go to the list view from which you want to export the data (for example, the project list)
- Filter the list view as needed
- Select at least one item by ticking the checkbox on the left side of the corresponding row
- An additional bar with bulk options will appear - click the Export button to export the selected data.
You can export the data in a CSV or XLS file format. When exporting files in a CSV format, you can choose what is used as a column separator – a comma, a semicolon, or a tab.
Below, you'll find more information about exporting various types of data from Scoro:
2.1. Exporting contacts
If you have separated Companies and People, you can choose whether to export just companies/people or include the related people/companies in the export file.
2.2. Exporting products and services
When exporting products and services, you can specify what is used as a column separator – a comma, a semicolon, or a tab. You can also choose to include inactive products and services in the export file; just filter the list accordingly.
2.3. Exporting tasks
Similar to exporting contacts or products, you can also export tasks in the same way if you ever need to share or add your tasks somewhere outside of Scoro.
2.4. Exporting reports
You can pick and choose which data fields you want to export from your detailed work and financial reports. Customize your report view with the information you need and export only the displayed columns. All filtered data columns will be exported in the exact same order as you see them in Scoro. This way you don't need to put any extra effort into cleaning up the export file before you can use it for further data analysis.
In the detailed financial report, Scoro now exports only the visible fields by default, but in the detailed work report you can choose between the full export and the visible-fields-only export.
2.5. Exporting a user list
You can export the list of users along with their profile data in CSV or XLS format. This saves you the time and the trouble of manual copy-paste when you need to analyze this data outside of Scoro.
To export the user list:
- Go to Settings > Administration > Users and user groups
- Click the Export button in the top right corner.
- Choose whether to export the data in a CSV or XLS file format.
- Click Export.
2.6. Exporting data from custom modules
Just like the work and financial reports, custom modules also have the option to export only the visible fields.
